Willey Phinedit (Find-it) is a Storyteller, Maine Humorist, UnRegistered Guide and a Tall Taleoligist with a few tales to tell. Filled with the Down East humor traditions of old, blending folk with original tales of fantasy as dry as your morning toast and as fresh as your next cup of coffee!
Willey will safely lead you on a mental vacation to Mythick County Maine which is located somewhere between York and Washington counties but never further away than your imagination. There in your mind’s eye you can see the Unicorns roam, and meet some interesting Maine Natives.
Willey graduated from Jerry Rigg High School and Rube Goldberg University with a degree in Tall Taleology. Willey has lived in Peanokio Harbor as long as he can remember sharing his love for nature and good Mental vacations. He is what most people would call a real character. Actually he is a character, created by Storyteller Vernon Cox for a reunion at Camp Natarswi in the last century. Jo Stevens invited him as a gag guest and Willey has been here ever since.
Attention Parents! His performance may not be suitable for children younger than 10. Parents and their off spring would not be offended by his performances; however the lines go so far above the young ones heads they may struggle reaching for them.
As described above Willey is a character, one who is sincere and honest as the day is long (like Alaska in the Wintah). He has been known to stretch the truth just a little. When Willie arrives he will arrive in his UnRegistered guide outfit and he will sound similar to the Maine stereotypical downeast humorist. (I say similar because he is not your granddad’s Bert or I)
Any way I digress, you should know that Vernon will speak for him on the phone or come early if you need him. But when he is Willey you need to know he is Willey and won’t answer to anything else.
Willey has programs ready for adults and children who listen like adults or he can customize a show to meet your needs.
